k YODER design Wins Third Docomomo-US Modernism in America Award

The Birch Knoll Restoration has been awarded a Docomomo-US Modernism in America Award, marking k YODER design’s third such honor.
The Modernism in America Awards is the only national program that celebrates the people and projects working to preserve, restore, and rehabilitate our modern heritage sensitively and productively. Birch Knoll, the thoughtful renovation of George Daub’s 1949 International Style residence overlooking Aronomink Golf Course, was honored with a Design: Citation of Merit award in this year’s program.
Modernism in America 2023 Jury member Mark Lamster acknowledged, “George Daub should be better known outside of Philadelphia. This beautifully done restoration gives his work the respect it deserves.”
Previously, kYd’s Kling Midcentury Renovation and Margaret Esherick House Conservation were also honored with Modernism in America Awards in 2016 and 2017. The kYd team and clients will be on hand for the awards ceremony November 2 in New York to celebrate with and congratulate all of the winners.
